 Campus Trendsetters

Campus Trendsetters is an influencer network for college women. The program provides the opportunity for them to grow their online presence, collaborate with established brands, and connect with other like-minded women. I was asked to refresh the Campus Trendsetters logo, update their color palette, and provide assets to accompany their new image.

Before

The Campus Trendsetters logo was a 3-Dimensional wordmark, displaying the brand’s two primary colors. It was pretty straightforward, but it wasn’t very versatile, scalable, or recognizable; all of those attributes would be important for a brand that is most visible on social media.

I went into the process of rebranding attempting to preserve what equity already existed. I went through three iterations, attempting to preserve the qualities of the original logo while flattening and simplifying it.

After

After a lot of visual exploration and pivots, I moved away from the idea of revising the logo that already existed. I stripped it down completely, went in a different direction with the type treatment, and created a more flexible combination mark. The hashtag icon embedded in the text can be used on it’s own in spaces where the full wordmark is too long.

I also updated the color palette, adding a deeper pink and expanding on the baby blue that was underutilized in the existing palette.
